Shine On

…because there was no room for them in the inn. Hospitality is at the heart of Christmas. The first family was left in the dark. God, in his great mercy, promises to bring outsiders into the warmth of “home”. God’s children are commanded again and again to practice hospitality. We will learn, like the star over Bethlehem, to be a guiding light of love to the wanderers. This Christmas we will learn to reach out to the stranger and the homeless. We will learn to shine on.
